Adventures of An Ethical Miscreant
What would you suggest somebody with such extreme dietary restrictions eat, then? The diet you showed as an example isn't healthy, which even you admit. Or would you rather have one person (and others with similar problems) die to save the welfare (not even lives, I'll even say that she'd be able to go almost-vegan as long as she could have free-range eggs) of animals?

I am not about trading off the welfare of the individual against the welfare of the many. That is not fair.

I honestly couldn’t say because I don’t know how extreme your mother’s Crohn’s is. It sounds pretty severe.

My issues seem to have reached a constant where no matter that I eat I am housebound 90% of the time, so I just probably eat things that my body doesn’t agree with but I hardly notice because my problems have reached a constant.

I eat a lot of stir-fry, vegetable stew (with root veg like parsnips, onion, sweet potato, white potato, carrot), pasta/rice dishes (with sauces that are thin rather than thick and rich), for some reason kidney beans don’t affect me like most other nuts and beans which is a plus, potato based dishes.

I wouldn’t suggest eggs, though, and not just for vegan reasons.
